Running AMBER8 on NEC high performance machines

Karen Haskell from NEC has provided two update files for NEC high performance machines:

File necSX_update.tgz contains the following:

README.NEC_SX       description of action items for NEC SX build
bugfix.configNECSX  bugfix file to update configure script for SX
bugfix.sxupdate     bugfix file to update source files to eliminate
                    build errors
bugfix.sxtune       bugfix file to add vector directives to enhance
                    sander performance
nec_sx.f90.mpi      configuration file for parallel PMEMD on SX
nec_sx.f90.nopar    configuration file for serial PMEMD on SX

File necTX_update.tgz contains the following:

README.NEC_TX       description of action items for NEC TX build
bugfix.configNECTX  bugfix file to update configure script for NEC TX
                    to support NEC BLAS, LAPACK and MPI
bugfix.detuneGB     bugfix file to detune src/sander/egb.f to improve
                    performance using Intel 8.1 compiler
nec_tx.ifort.mpi    configuration file for parallel PMEMD on NEC TX
nec_tx.ifort.nopar  configuration file for serial PMEMD on NEC TX


Running AMBER7 on NEC high performance machines

The following file provides updated MACHINE and system files for NEC_SX and NEC_TX machines. This a new vesion, created in October, 2003 (with some updated files for the NEC_TX system, and some new instructions for compiler directives).

nec_update4.tar.gz

This contains the following files:

Machine.nec_sx         updated MACHINE file for NEC_SX
Machine.nec_sx_mpi     MACHINE file for NEC_SX using MPI (unchanged)
Machine.nec_tx         updated MACHINE file for NEC_TX
Machine.nec_tx_mpi     updated MACHINE file for NEC_TX using MPI

README.NEC_SX          (updated) description of action items for NEC_SX build
README.NEC_TX          (updated) description of action items for NEC_TX build

nec_sx:                directory of NEC_SX system dependent code (unchanged)
Makefile
erfcfun.c
sys.f

The NEC TX uses the default UNIX system dependent code.
